The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) organizes weekly intensive seminars in cooperation with the Member Universities of VIU during the semesters.
These intensive seminars are usually on a specific topic, under the tutorage of a professor from a member university, for approximately 20 students who are selected by the coordinating professor in his/her home university.
Students attending a full semester at VIU are also eligible to apply, and must do so at least one month before the seminar commences. Interested students can request more information by writing to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
