Fall 2009 Semester Creative Project
Realbook Workshop by Peppe Clemente, Andrea Penisto
The workshop focuses on photographic portraiture. The chosen subject, as shown by the title, is a clear reference to the social networking phenomenon, which has recently experienced an exponential proliferation. The intention is to reflect upon the representation of ourselves: a representation which does not necessarily correspond to reality.
So, how do others see us?
Does their representation of us match reality?
With the aid of photography, the workshop participants are invited to represent "the other" (fellow students) in everyday life, in an investigation that will result in a series of portraits that describe the other and deepen each other's knowledge. Each participant will create a short and consistent series of portraits of his/her fellow students.
