F0807 Venezia Across its Image
The course will be a subjective approach to the representation through the drawing of the place where we are temporarily, the city of Venice.
Venice, undoubtedly, has been one of the cities more printed of the art history, source of inspiration and subject for writers, poets, painters, photographers, movie directors and musicians.
The painters who have elaborated the best known image of the city are the Venetian painters of sights at the XVIII, like Canaletto and Francesco Guardi. Later painters like Turner and Monet moved to Venice to paint this city in a very subjective and interesting way.
Among the writers, highlights Shakespeare, Thomas Mann, and Italo Calvino.
In the program there will be three differentiated parts, we will carry out the city as an invention, the observed city and we will finish with the representation of the remembered city. In this process we will work with the three elements of the creative process: the observation, the imaginary one and the memory.
