S0513 Darwinism and Sociology

The course gives explanations about Darwinism, or an evolutionary theory, and then deals with its influence to the development of human society during the 19th to 20th centuries. Modernization of Japan will be discussed along with the introduction of Western cultures, including Darwinism. Visual aids by using the Power Point, etc. will be prepared.
