IntelCities is a research and technological development project to pool advanced knowledge and experience of electronic government, planning systems and citizen participation from across Europe. |
The project is being led by Manchester and Siena and brings together eighteen European cities, twenty ICT companies (including Nokia and CISCO) and thirty-six research groups.
The project is part of the European Union's Sixth Framework Programme e EU's Information Society Technologies programme.
TeDIS Center was involved in the WP11: e-Governance. WP11 relates to a "RTD - Innovation" activity type and constitutes a core part of INTELCITIES Activity area D: e-Governance Development and Innovation. It aims the development of a multi-dimensional and multi-actor "City e-Governance Policy Model" to facilitate an enhanced role and contribution of ICTs to the achievement of "Good Governance" principles and goals in European urban decision-making in context of the Knowledge Society.
