Globalization Program: registration for Spring 2017 courses now open

Registration for courses of the Spring 2017 semester opens on January 18.


The full list of courses with descriptions and syllabi and the weekly schedule are now available for the Spring 2017 semester. Over 100 students from all over the world will take courses on Italy, Cultures of the World and Global Challenges in the 15-week program, starting on February 20, 2017. The specialization track courses will focus on Environmental Management and Sustainable Development.


The interdisciplinary courses are structured as seminars and require interaction in research, so as to facilitate the exchange of knowledge among students from different academic and cultural backgrounds.


All students registered in degree programs at one of VIU's fifteen Member Universities are eligible to apply for the Globalization Program. Courses are recognized for credit by the students' home universities. All students must pre-register to the Globalization Program and register to courses via the on-line application form*, after having submitted their application to the study abroad office of their home universities; students from Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, Università IUAV di Venezia, Università degli Studi di Padova and Università degli Studi di Roma “Tor Vergata” can pre-register directly.

   and will close on: February 22, 2017.

 

N.B. Remember to pre-register to VIU portal in order to receive your username and password and to access your personal page.

 

ACADEMIC CALENDAR

  • The semester starts on February 20, 2017 with the Orientation week
  • Courses from February 27
  • Midterm Break: April 17-21
  • Courses end on May 26
  • Exam week and semester closure: June 2
  • National Holidays: April 17, April 25 (classes to reschedule), May 1 (classes to reschedule), June 2.
