Training on Climate Change for the Chinese NDRC

From September 11 to 23 the 2016 National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) advanced training on “Capacity Building on Climate Change” will take place in Italy.

 

The course will start with two days in Rome at the Italian Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea headquarters. EU & Italian Policies and Communication on Climate Change will be discussed with experts from IMELS, ISPRA and the Environmental Legal Team of Siena University.

 

The delegation will then move to Venice International University for the rest of the training. Issues such as Adaptation to Climate Change and Climate Change Mitigation will be the core of the following lecturing days.

These topics will be addressed from both a scientific and political point of view with the help of lecturers from CMCC, ENEL Green Power, International Geothermal Association, University of Siena, University of Trento, University of Florence, Ca’ Foscari University and IUAV.

 

Great importance will be given to the application of climate change strategies. This aspect will be discussed in class with experts form Galileia s.r.l., Polo Tecnologico per l’Energia S.r.l., SOFCpower., Kataclima s.r.l., but also during site visits, which have been included in the program to present examples of sustainable industries.
