Internships & Mobility program: international students awarded

 

VIU promotes international mobility by providing internship opportunities and scholarships to students of the 15 member universities who attend the Globalization Program.
In 2016 the program awards €25,000 scholarships to talented, motivated students to foster their graduate and professional studies and careers in new and emerging fields.

 

During the Spring 2016 term, 14 candidates applied for an internship in one of the agreed host institutions in Italy. The 5 winners of the scholarship for an internship experience in Italy have been announced during the Closing Ceremony of the Spring 2016 term:

The winner of the Research Internships and Worldwide Mobility, who will carry out research for his final master’s thesis through the international mobility channels offered by VIU, is:


dsc 4329Alberto Oliva, Ca' Foscari University of Venice

Alberto will be offered a scholarship to partially support travel and housing expenses for an internship at the School of Social Sciences of Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan.

 

During the Closing Ceremony, the winner of this year's Maria Weber Scholarship was also announced by the VIU Dean, Prof. Carlo Giupponi and the Director of the VIU School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Luca Pes:

The Maria Weber Scholarship is awarded to a student of the Globalization Program of the spring semester with the best dissertation proposal on a theme related to China or Asian studies. Read more...
