VIULecture: Miles Orvell, Spectacular Ruins & Photography, May 2

Venice International University continues the series of the VIULECTURES 1|16, a cycle of appointments open to the public, as part of the Globalization Program Spring 2016 term academic offer.

 

Second meeting on 2 May 2016 with Prof. Miles Orvell, from Temple University in Philadelphia, to discuss about “Spectacular Ruins” and the historical rule of photography in the understanding and memory of this “archive of material destruction”. The lecture will be held in English.
