Student who fulfils the course can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

Course objectives:
Our goal in this course is to guide students  in reading and understanding different texts about social and cultural reality of contemporary Italy; discussing the text contents in different ways, both speaking in class and through written essays, developping various strategies so as to understand a written or a visual text and in a general revise of grammar, syntax and lexicon.

Hours: 80.

Classes: Monday to Thursday, h 09.15-10.45 + Monday h 12.30-13.30.
