GITAM University India at VIU

A representative of the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM University) visited VIU to explore the possibilities for joint cooperation, especially in the field of Sustainable Development. 

GITAM University is the first private university in Andhra Pradesh, established in 1980 as the dream child of an inspired group of eminent intellectuals and industrialists. 

The University has three campuses - its main campus at Visakhapatnam, off campuses at Hyderabad and Bengaluru. 

The university also offers several programmes through distance learning (since 2009) to increase access to higher education with emphasis on reaching the unreached. 

The Indian Ministry of Human Resource Development ranked GITAM as A category university among the universities of its kind.  

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the university with A grade.
