Closing Ceremony of the Fall 2016 term, Dec. 15 at 5pm

The Fall 2016 term of the Globalization Program closes on Thursday, 15 December 2016.

 

Since September 2016, over 100 students representing 23 different nationalities throughout North and South America, Asia and Europe have been attending courses taught by professors from VIU's member universities. Following the semester the best students will be able to avail of interesting internship opportunities.

 

The Closing Ceremony will be held at 5.00 pm in Sala Teatro, first floor. Friends of VIU faculty, students and staff are welcome to join the event.

 

The program will be as follows:

  • Opening Remarks, Prof. Carlo Giupponi, Dean of Venice International University and Prof. Luca Pes, Vice-Dean and Director of VIU's School of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Awards for Academic Excellence, selected by the Fall 2016 faculty
  • Award of Scholarships for internships in Italy
  • Video testimonials made by the students of the course of 'Italian for Foreigners – intermediate level'.
  • Presentation of the final projects and posters of the course 'Contemporary Migration and Refugee Crisis'.

A farewell reception will follow.
