IntelCities (2004-2005)

logointelcities IntelCities is a research and technological development project to pool advanced knowledge and experience of electronic government, planning systems and citizen participation from across Europe.

The project is being led by Manchester and Siena and brings together eighteen European cities, twenty ICT companies (including Nokia and CISCO) and thirty-six research groups.

The project is part of the European Union's Sixth Framework Programme e EU's Information Society Technologies programme.

TeDIS Center was involved in the WP11: e-Governance.
WP11 relates to a "RTD - Innovation" activity type and constitutes a core part of INTELCITIES Activity area D: e-Governance Development and Innovation. It aims the development of a multi-dimensional and multi-actor "City e-Governance Policy Model" to facilitate an enhanced role and contribution of ICTs to the achievement of "Good Governance" principles and goals in European urban decision-making in context of the Knowledge Society.
