MyPortal is an e-government project leaded by the Veneto Region, planned in the "Accordo quadro di programma" for the years 2004-2006 among Veneto Region, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry for Innovation and Technologies.
With this project, Internet and ICT will represent a new means of communication with which citizens, organizations and companies can relate with Local Administrations of their area, in order to improve the dialogue with local institutions and the competitiveness of some particular areas.
The project, started in 2003 with the adoption of MyPortal in Feltre Mountain Community, is spreading in the other Local Administration of the Belluno Province (8 Mountain Communities) during 2006. These are the first four Mountain Comunities that joined to the project:

. CM Valle del Boite
Venice International University has won a call for tender of the Veneto Region to carry on some tasks of the project of MyPortal diffusion in the Mountain Communities of the Belluno Province.
The VIU role in MyPortal project is the management of the research tasks regarding three different aspects of the project:

- Project management, with the support to the Veneto Region in the diffusion of MyPortal in the local Mountain Communities;

- MyPortal promotion, proposing a model useful to promote the project in local context; defining strategies and organizating activities and tasks for the institutional promotion of the project and for the local promotion in the different Mountain Communities;

|
- Analysis of new services required from the users and potentially implemented in MyPortal during the 2007.

Finally, VIU will support the veneto Region in the definition of a model for the reusability of MyPortal in others Local Administration of the Region, identifying some guide lines for the implementation and management of MyPortal from a technological point of view, for the promotion in the local context and finally for the analysis of users' satisfaction on MyPortal.
The project is cofinanced by the Veneto Region and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
