On. Bruno Archi was born in Ixelles, Belgium, in 1962, and graduated in Political Science at “La Sapienza “University in Rome in 1985. He started his diplomatic career in 1989, after having passed the national public competition for the diplomatic service. From February to November 1989 he also attended the professional training course at the Diplomatic Institute. After having worked at the general department for Political Affairs, he was appointed, during the same year, as Secretary of Legation. In 1991 he became Second Secretary in Ankara and First Secretary in the same place in 1994. During his second mission in Denmark in 1995, he was appointed as First Secretary for trade issues. In 1997 he worked at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in 1999 he became Counselor of Legation. In 2000 he was commanded to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers at the Office of the Diplomatic Advisor to the Italian Prime Minister, where he was confirmed also for the following year. Appointed as Counselor of Embassy in 2004, during the changing of Government in 2006, he was confirmed at the Presidency of the Council of Ministries as the Special Representative of the President of the Council of Ministers for the reconstructions of the Balkans.In 2008 he was confirmed again from the new centre right Government, and in 2009 he was appointed as Plenipotentiary Ministry. Both in 2010 and 2011 he covered the role of Sherpa for the G8 and G20 Summits. In 2011-2012 he became the Diplomatic advisor the President of the Senate, while in March 2013 he entered in the Parliament after having won the political elections, and in May he was appointed by the Presidency of the Council of Ministries as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
