Free Wi-Fi access is available at VIU for students, professors and those who organize conferences, seminars, summer schools and workshops in cooperation with Venice International University. The areas covered include the library and pc-room, the professors' offices, the classrooms, the bar area and the coffee machines near the Front Office. You can get your Wi-Fi username and password at the Front Office. You will have to show your passport or ID since it is prescribed by the Italian cyber-security law.
Moreover, in Venice there is a network of 200 free Wi-Fi hotspots for residents and holders of the imob card (the monthly vaporetto pass). The city coverage includes Campo Santa Margherita and all the vaporetto stops.
