Training Academy on Democratic Governance

Objective:

address the question of democratic transition in the MENA region following the "Arab Spring" events.

In this complex political context, new governments and civil societies should address the principles of good governance.

 

Program:
in-depth analysis of democratic governance issues such as free and fair elections, constitutional reform, political pluralism, the rule of law, human rights, gender equality, transitional justice mechanisms, state accountability, separation of powers and independence of the judiciary.

young professionals from Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria, with an even balance of women and men, who are involved in the political institutions of their countries.

 

Experts:

from the Council of Europe and the European Union, staff of the Council of Europe and Academics from the member universities of EIUC, VIU and from the Maghreb region.
