CESifo Venice Summer Institute

The CESifo Venice Summer Institute, held every summer in cooperation with Venice International University, focuses on themes of current interest in European and global economic policy. The Institute brings together international economists working on economic policy topics for workshops, panel meetings and discussion.

CESifo's 17th Venice Summer Institute will take place from 18 to 23 July 2016, with five workshops dealing with the following topics:

- The Economics of Philantropy

- Disrupted Economic Relationships: Disasters, Sanctions, Dissolutions

- Political Economy Aspects of Income (Re-) Distribution

- The Economics of Peace and War

- Climate Change and Migration
